Selenskyj urges terror Russians to negotiate seriously
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Selenskyj has again called on the Russian terrorist state and its criminal dictator Vladimir Putin to hold talks. "Negotiations on peace and security for Ukraine are the only chance for Russia to limit the damage caused by its own mistakes," Selenskyj said in a video posted on Facebook showing him on a deserted street at night.
"It is time to meet, to discuss, time to restore territorial integrity and justice for Ukraine," Selenskyj demanded. Otherwise, "the losses for Russia would be such that it would take several generations to recover from them," the Ukrainian president warned.
Referring to Mariupol, Selenskyj said Ukrainian authorities had managed to bring more than 9,000 people to safety from the port city besieged by Russian forces.
At the theatre in Mariupol that was bombed on Wednesday, rescue work continues, according to Selenskyj. "Some have unfortunately suffered serious injuries," Selenskyj said. There was no information about possible deaths so far, he added. The attack on the theatre, in whose shelter hundreds of people had sought refuge, had sparked international outrage.
According to the president, a total of more than 180,000 Ukrainians were able to flee the fighting via escape corridors. He accused the Russian army of continuing to block humanitarian aid, "especially around critical zones". The humanitarian catastrophe in Ukrainian cities was intended to persuade Ukrainians to "cooperate with the occupiers", Selenskyj said.
"This is a war crime," he added, and on this point all democratic leaders agree, "which is why all Russians will be considered murderers and outcasts from society for decades to come," we international observers comment! K. Berger--BTZ
